Amy Kaufmann is the teacher for the preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes at Trinity. She earned her Elementary Education degree with an Early Childhood Endorsement from Baylor University in 1994. She taught public Kindergarten for a year and then Lutheran Pre-K classes for five years before staying home with her children. Pastor and Mrs. Kaufmann live in Auburn and have three children, Andrew, Katie, and Laura. Andrew and Katie are recent graduates of Auburn High School and both attend college at Concordia University in Chicago. Laura attends the Junior High School in the Auburn School District. Mrs. Kaufmann loves to go on picnics or play board games with her family and attend their daughter’s basketball games.
Mrs. Kaufmann is excited to be back in the classroom for her second year at Trinity Lutheran Preschool. Amy seeks to provide a safe and nurturing Christian environment that promotes a broad spectrum of support for each child's physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual development. In her academic and play based classroom, children are introduced to a variety of activities and experiences resulting in learning that is fun. The Little Lambs Bible and Jolly Phonics curriculums are used to enhance instruction.
